Job Brief

We’re seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join Ballurh, a SaaS B2B business. Your role involves uncovering insights from vast datasets to enhance our products and enable retailers to make data-driven decisions. You’ll apply data mining techniques, conduct statistical analysis, and develop prediction and AI-based recommendation systems. Additionally, you’ll co-build AI models to clean and classify data for actionable analytics, making it meaningful for retailers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Data mining using state-of-the-art methods.
  2. Extending company data with third-party sources of information when needed.
  3. Enhancing data collection procedures to include relevant information for building analytic systems.
  4. Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
  5. Doing ad-hoc analysis and clearly presenting results.
  6. Building and maintaining a recommendation system.

Qualifications

  1. Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.
  2. Experience with common data science tools, such as Python, Alteryx, PowerBi, Tableau.
  3. Great communication skills.
  4. Experience with data visualization tools, such as D3.js, GGplot, etc.
  5. Proficiency in using query languages ​​such as SQL.
  6. Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB.
  7. Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
  8. Good scripting and programming skills.
  9. Have experience in deploying ML models in a cost-effective manner -MLOps-.
